Nearing Notification for On Hold Requests

Hello. I've recently discovered the 'On Hold' option in ML. It would be great if there were an option for a notification for those requests on hold that are nearing their start date, say a month away, or if they would automatically revert to 'pending' when their start date is a month or more away. I'm afraid that if we put far-future events on hold, we may forget we did so until it's too late.
