We do utilize the number of days per classification that requests can be entered. This time of the school year, though, we have lots of requests for next school. However, we decline everything and ask requests to wait to be submitted in July to allow our schools to finalize their own schedules.
It would be great to restrict requests that fall within certain dates (rather than the number of days out it currently is per classification). For example, anything that falls after August 18 for classifications 3-8 cannot be requested until after July 1 and the system would restrict them for entering with a notification popping up that they cannot submit until July. I think it would just be helpful in the in between time of school years.

We already have most of this functionality. If you edit a classification, you can choose a hard stop date instead of a rolling number. A message will populate to these users that they cannot request past X date.
I will keep this idea in the portal so we can look into updating the messaging and have a resume date listed. Right now, that would have to be managed internally, so I could see the benefit of this!
