Multiple invoices per activity

Can we make it so we can invoice the same activity twice? I have billed the user for an event and they pay right away. Cut to a few weeks later, we get a late timecard for custodial or an alarm bill. We dont want to go back in and change the total that was already paid, it wouldnt make sense for our accountants
