We are requesting the ability to add a required checkbox in the ML Schedules request form to confirm that users have reviewed and/or been provided the building’s Emergency Response Protocols (ERP).
Recent NYSED guidance and state requirements (including cardiac emergency response planning and existing emergency preparedness regulations) require schools to ensure that before-school, after-school, and community users are informed of building emergency procedures such as fire evacuation, AED/cardiac response, lockdown, and other safety protocols.
Proposed functionality:
Admin-configurable checkbox stating: “I have reviewed the building’s Emergency Response Protocols.”
File upload attached to the request (PDF/DOC) for ERP documentation so Requestors may review protocols.
Ability to make this field mandatory before approval, especially for non-school-day or after-hours events.
Audit trail showing acknowledgment and/or document attached per request.
Why this matters:
Helps districts document compliance with NYSED regulations
Reduces liability exposure for after-hours building use
Keeps safety documentation centralized within the scheduling workflow
Hi Andrew,
Currently, we're missing a checkbox feature, which should be straightforward to implement. However, I'm wondering if it would be beneficial to add a "Manage Document" option instead. This would enable you to upload a template file for users to view and mandate that they submit their own upload. Additionally, you could include a Yes/No field configured with only "Yes" as the available option, ensuring that acknowledgement is always required
