Notify of Conflicts when Blocked Date is created

When a blocked date is created, if an event already exists during the blocked date, we have no way of seeing that besides a manual check. Would it be possible to notify the creator of the blocked date that there are existing events in the system during that time, or possibly actually list out those requests so we can check in/cancel them if needed?
