Inactive Spaces Do Not Show to Users When Submitting a New Request

Currently, we have not found a way to hide a space from our users without removing it entirely from Master Schedules. We thought it would be helpful that when a space becomes deactivated in Master Schedules, it becomes unselectable by users attempting to submit a request; however, it can still be scheduled as a location for an event by an administrator. That way, places such as janitor closets or restrooms can still be marked as closed or reserved by maintenance or other admins, but basic-level users cannot choose those spaces as part of their request. This feature might work better as a new field in the setup options for the spaces. Possibly a field that marks the location as 'unrequestable' or something similar with specific options for each user role.

      Hi Micah,

That is the intended functionality when it comes to inactivating. What I think you're looking for is the following setting:

If you want to hide a space, you can edit the space > Classifications Allowed > Check off what people you want to see it - You can leave everything unchecked
